Winlog32 is Amateur Radio Logging software designed and working on all Microsoft Windows platforms, e.g. 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista. This software has been in development for many years and is ongoing, The Author (G0CUZ) provides this software FREE to use by all Radio Amateurs and SWL's in true 'Ham Spirit', as such no warranty is implied or given as to it's suitability or reliability.
Although Winlog32 is general purpose logging software, it has a definite slant on DX'ing on both HF and VHF with comprehensive tracking of various awards programs like DXCC, IOTA, WAZ etc. and includes all the features you would expect from good quality logging and DXing software and more.....
This software is completely free to download and use without losing any of the programs functionality and without limitations of any kind. It is free to distribute on a one-to-one basis, providing all original files are intact and not modified in any way and that no charge is made for this.

To install Winlog32 for the first time, download the above file to your desktop or other suitable folder on your computer by clicking on the " >DOWNLOAD WINLOG32< link above
After download the file - double-click on the file to run the self-installer. The Winlog32 self-installer program will auto-run and please follow the installation instructions.

Do NOT install into ..\Program Files Folder, due to Vista's strange file security behaviour you are strongly advised NOT to install into the ..\Program Files\ folder or sub-folders thereof, choose or make another folder like C:\HAM\ or C:\WINLOG32\ etc.
To update an earlier version of Winlog32 you should also install the latest update package BUT..it IS important if updating an existing installation of Winlog32 that you follow these instructions!

Double-click on this file to run the self-installer. The Winlog32 self-installer program will auto-run, follow the installation instructions with special notice to the following.....
When the install program starts, Press the "Change Directory" button and select and double-click the directory (folder) of your CURRENT Winlog32 installation, ensure that that it appears correctly as the "Directory" path in the install dialog, this is IMPORTANT, almost all update problems are caused by not observing this.
Continue with the Set-up, and your previous Winlog32 version will be updated to the latest version available.
LOG database and ancillary database files will be safe as these are NOT replaced during the install/updat
e process.

Winlog32 - Menu/File/Latest Updates is the preferred method to obtain the latest Winlog32 update files, if this method fails then you can download the files from this page.
N.B. download the files to your ..\Winlog32\Data folder.
The Prefix and/or IOTA database will be updated the next time you start Winlog32.

Database updates should only be used with latest versions of Winlog32.
Requires v1.7 or greater installed and the new Prefix Database version (March 2002 onwards) before you can update your existing prefix database with the new data provided by the file.

'USER' Database
|
'User' databases can be added to Winlog32 to track awards that are not supported with the Winlog32 standard award database set supplied.
A single 'User' database file can track up to 30 different awards, the databases can be updated and tracked automatically by Winlog32.
Use of these databases within Winlog32 is very much encouraged

Please note; that due to a lack of time and interest GI0OTC is no longer updating his Beacon Database, but Bryn, G4DEZ has kindly been updating the VHF/UHF section and the latest available Beacon Database file will be distributed with future releases of Winlog32.
